Each day when parents head to work, they want to ensure their children are in an environment where they can blossom socially, emotionally, physically and intellectually. If you are looking for a place where your child can play and learn, and come to understand that learning is fun, Kids R Kids, slated to open in 2024 in Bridgeland, may be just the solution. Rooted in its “Hug First, Then Teach” philosophy, Kids R Kids ensures that every child in its care feels safe, loved and inspired.
“Our assortment of diverse, best-in-class educational offerings coupled with our community-oriented approach to lifelong learning are among the main drivers for families moving to Bridgeland,” said Steve Sams, Senior Vice President, MPC Residential for The Howard Hughes Corporation. “Very few pre-schools of Kids R Kids’ scale exist, and we are thrilled that we will have them service our growing community and join our portfolio of top-rated educational offerings.”
Owned by Bridgeland resident EJ Davis, Kids R Kids will add to Bridgeland’s growing list of top-rated educational offerings. Programs will be provided for infants from 6 weeks, toddlers, preschoolers, before and after-care to 12 years old, summer camp and special programs. The two-story facility will be among the largest pre-schools in Texas, with 20,000-square feet of space.
Kids R Kids uses a variety of curricula throughout a child’s development, always seeking to enhance their social, cognitive, emotional and physical well-being. For instance, letting children play with purpose is what their Brain Waves curriculum is all about. It offers opportunities to learn through new experiences, sensory stimulation and multiple learning styles to support brain development. Beginning at age 3, Kids R Kids aims to get your child kindergarten ready by using their STEAM Ahead curriculum, which encourages innovation, collaboration and imagination. Parent-teacher conferences occur periodically throughout the year, keeping parents informed about their child’s progress. Parents can ease the transition to summer without worry, as Kids R Kids offers summer camp programs. Weekly themes and a full calendar of events keep your child learning all summer long, so they’ll be ready to embrace the next school year.
Safety is another key element when seeking childcare. From the school bus to the classroom you can be comforted knowing health and safety protocols are in place. Disinfecting classrooms and equipment and CPR and first aid training, restricted visitor access and closed-circuit cameras that are continuously monitored are just a few of the measures taken to ensure the well-being of your children. Families can even log into a special portal to check on their children from time to time.
“Safety, quality education and fun are the cornerstones of Kids R Kids,” said Davis. “As a Bridgeland resident, I am invested in the well-being of our community and the education provided to our children. We look forward to bringing Kids R Kids’ personalized approach to education and our low student-to-teacher ratio to Bridgeland.”
Currently, Bridgeland is home to a total of seven existing and planned public schools across Cy-Fair ISD and Waller ISD. Earlier this year, another early childhood education provider, The Goddard School, opened its first location in Bridgeland. In 2025, Bridgeland will celebrate the opening of Cypress Christian School, the community’s first private school located in Prairieland Village and the opening of the first phase of Harmony Public Schools, Bridgeland’s first charter school located in Creekland Village. Located at the corner of Tuckerton Road and Westgreen Boulevard in Parkland Village, Kids R Kids is expected to open summer 2024. To help make mornings easier, Kids R Kids will provide bus transportation for students in and around Bridgeland. Applications are now being accepted.
