Howl-O-Ween Fest

More than 1,200 people came out to enjoy the 7th Annual Howl-O-Ween Fest, despite the fact that the rain cut the day a little short.  Families were able to enjoy stage performances, fall crafts, food trucks and more throughout the day.

Panfilov’s Performing Pets, a canine and feline group that has been featured on several late night talk shows and has performed with the Ringling Brothers, took the stage with their extremely talented Jack Russel Terriers and troupe of trained house cats.   Other stage acts included Popeye and Sailor, a dog act organized by the man who trained the “smartest dog in the world and Todd Oliver and his “talking” dogs, who were semi-finalists on America’s Got Talent.

Guest also enjoyed a variety of food trucks, kids’ activities sponsored by The Foundry, pumpkin decorating, trick-or-treating for pets and kids and much more.  A big thank you to Casey Curry, a meteorologist at KTRK, who braved the weather to emcee our pooch fashion show.  Thanks to everyone’s generosity, we were able to raise more than $1,000 for participating dog rescue groups who work diligently to find safe and happy homes for pets in need.
