Operation Finally Home hosts ‘Notes of Love’ ceremony for the Betcher family

This past January, construction began on a home in Bridgeland for a wounded veteran and his family. We have had the opportunity to be a part ofBridgeland_Operation_Finally_Home_Betcher_Family_750_1107 their journey and are honored to be able to help provide a home for this deserving family.

U.S. Army Specialist Clifford Betcher, his wife Wynne and their son Grayson were given the news while on the field during a Texans’ playoff game that they would receive a mortgage-free home in Bridgeland. Since then, Beazer Homes has been busy building the home and we had the opportunity to surprise the Betchers a second time.

Recently, the Betcher family was invited to the homesite with the expectation of doing a pre-drywall walk through.  When the family arrived, they were greeted by Operation Finally Home, Beazer Homes and Bridgeland for a heartwarming experience.

More than 500 notes decorated the studs of the home and the outpouring of love for this family was tremendous. Notes were collected from community members, staff from Beazer Homes and Bridgeland, contractors who are donating time and materials to build the home, the Houston Texans, the Greater Houston Builders Association, students and staff from Pope Elementary, and members from The Bridgeland Community Supports Veterans, Inc. The family will always feel the love and support that surrounds the walls of their new home.

Construction is expected to be complete this spring. Keep an eye on the progress of the Betcher’s home here.
