Friday Night Bites helps in Harvey relief efforts

Friday Night Bites returns to Bridgeland on Sept. 8 from 6 to 10 p.m. and will use this opportunity to help those that have been affected by Hurricane Harvey.

Our goal is to collect a variety of supplies and basic necessities during the event to help those in need. If you would like to support the cause, we ask that you bring any of the following supplies:

  • Full-size hygiene products (shampoo, deodorant, toothpaste, etc.)
  • Cleaning supplies (masks, gloves, 5 gallon buckets, mops, scrubbing brushes, etc.)
  • School Supplies
  • Diapers, wipes, formula
  • Pet supplies

Items will be collected and distributed by Bridgeland’s churches – The Foundry and Houston’s First Baptist Church, who have both been extremely dedicated to the recovery efforts.

Additionally, each food truck will donate a portion of their proceeds from Friday Night Bites to the  United Way Relief Fund established by The Howard Hughes Corporation in response to Hurricane Harvey and to ‘Food for First Responders’ which is a collection of food truck owners who are feeding first responders and volunteers in the area at no charge. These funds will continue to help feed those that are helping our community to recover.
