Friday Night Bites is back and ready to help a great cause

Friday Night Bites returns to Bridgeland this month with live music, more than a dozen food trucks and a chance to help the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS).

The October 13 event will run from 5 to 9 p.m. and all First Responders will receive a complimentary meal.

This month’s entertainment is sponsored by Ravenna Homes and guests at Friday Night Bites will have an opportunity to purchase raffle tickets for a variety of prizes including an autographed football from Dallas Cowboys great Roger Staubach and tickets to the Houston Museum of Natural Science with IMAX passes.

Each person who participates in the raffle will receive a ballot to vote on a new mural in Lakeland Village Center that will be painted by local artist Anat Ronen, who also did the first mural in Bridgeland’s retail center. One of the items being raffled is a custom painting done by Anat that was designed specifically for this event. All proceeds from the raffle will be donated to LLS.

This month, Friday Night Bites includes the following food trucks: Goats Mobile with southern-style cuisine; Fork N Truck with Asian and South American Cuisine; KAOW with a Cajun Asian fare; Space Lobos with El Salvadoran cuisine; Pounders special hamburgers; OMG Baked Potatoes and Tu Go Kitchen with Chinese cuisine. In addition, Skye Café, A&B Wings, Falacos and Picnic on the Green will all offer a kids’ menu.

For dessert, Squeezie’s (lemonade), Grab A Cone (snow cones), N’Awlins Confections (Creole confections), N’Awlins Sneux Bawls (snow cones) and The Baker’s Man (Bundt cakes) will all be on hand. And in the Lil’ Chef’s Cooking Corner, Skye Café will host a making candy apples demonstration.

Attendees are encouraged to bring blankets and lawn chairs, with no glass containers permitted.
