First resident moves into Parkland Village

Just six short months ago, Bridgeland launched a brand new village and rooftops began rising everywhere. There has been plenty of excitement surrounding Bridgeland’s new addition, and one person in particular was the first to embrace the newest village and is now the first to call it home.

Rosemary Gray moved into her new Lennar home in Parkland Village in  November.  She is the first of approximately 3,000 new homeowners who will eventually put down roots in the new village.

Rosemary shares the home with her son and his three chihuahuas and enjoys walking the community’s nature trail and basking in the beauty of the neighborhood. Since Rosemary moved into her new home, she has gained three additional neighbors, and more are on the way as activity begins to pick up in Parkland Village.

Rosemary and her family will be the first residents honored at Parkland 100 at Settlers Park, where a total of 100 trees will be planted with special plaques honoring each of the first 100 families in Parkland Village.

Parkland is the second of four planned villages in Bridgeland. Each village will offer its own unique take on living in the community, but conservation and co-existence with the surrounding environment will be a top priority for all. Each village will offer residents easy access to parks and trails, playgrounds, pool complexes, schools, shopping, employment establishments and places of worship.

Grand opening celebrations for Parkland Village will be held over two Saturdays – Feb. 24 and March 3, 2018. Information about the festivities will be coming soon.
